Donatos Pizza, an Ohio-based quick-service pizza chain, is enhancing its phone ordering process through artificial intelligence. The company has partnered with Revmo AI to implement a new automated ordering system across its 174 locations, with a full rollout expected by May 2025.
The AI-based voice ordering technology from Revmo is designed to improve the customer experience and increase order conversions, ultimately boosting revenue across Donatos’ locations nationwide. After evaluating several voice AI platforms, Donatos determined that Revmo’s solution best aligned with its goals of enhancing customer service and driving sales.
A standout feature of Revmo’s platform is its proprietary “Insano Mode” voice engine, which provides a natural, human-like conversational experience. The system also manages complex tasks such as secure credit card processing and automatic coupon recognition, streamlining the ordering process for customers and staff alike.

This AI initiative is part of Donatos’ broader strategy to automate routine tasks, allowing employees to focus on more customer-facing activities. The AI system will be fully integrated with Donatos’ existing point-of-sale (POS) platform, further enhancing operational efficiency.

In a similar move, other major pizza chains are also adopting AI for voice ordering. Papa John’s is developing an AI-powered chatbot for customer inquiries, while Domino’s utilizes Vonage’s voice API to enhance its ordering experience across more than 6,000 locations.
Founded in 1963 and headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, Donatos Pizza operates 174 restaurants in several states and serves nearly 300 non-traditional locations, including select Red Robin restaurants across the country.
